Join a Global Village Meeting

Using the power of populist media (Community radio, online streaming and blogs) we will host a meeting of the global village on the topic of the infamous Manhattan Mosque. You may be tired of the constant drone of nationally projected pundits, but what do you think? How will this meme play out over time? How does it play with various segments of the American population and how does it play beyond our borders?

While this discussion can be heard and participated in online, it will also be broadcast in College Station and Bryan, Texas. This is the home of Texas A&M, a major university of very conservative reputation and almost 50,000 students who will graduate to become well placed leaders. Can the provincial bubble of this small but influential community be penetrated by diverse voices? Will you lend your voice to this learning opportunity? Can modern media provide a town hall meeting on a global scale? You can start participating now at two different blogs: http://www.leftofcollegestation.com/ and http://polbrazos.blogspot.com/ The broadcast will be Wednesday September 8th at 6:00 central time. Locally you can listen on KEOS 89.1 FM. Globally you can listen at http://www.livestream.com/biasedtransmission. Or follow along at http://www.coveritlive.com/ The team of Biased Transmission, the sponsoring show, will be taking comments from callers and those participating on the blogs.

We hope that you will join us and allow your voice to make a difference.
