Cafe Eccell has been a dining landmark in College Station for years. Now Eccell Steakhouse is the newest restaurant in town and is this week's featured restaurant. This is a great idea but I'm not sure how good of an idea it is to feature new restaurants. I'm sure that they will appreciate the added business but they have not had a chance to work the bugs out yet. We went to Eccell Steakhouse and were a bit disappointed. We will be back because we are confident that they will work through these things. These people have a track record. Other new restaurants may not have the same level of confidence from established customers. Also I have heard a rumor that there is or will be a commercial outfit doing the same thing with restaurant reviews. You might think about putting Eccell Steakhouse back up as the weekly feature in a few months. I'll review them then.
We also ran into some new restaurant stuff. We sort of expected that going to a new restaurant. A bit pricey for us, but we will go back for special occasions. We really liked the bar. they even had great music playing.
